Default Contribute3

Just getting my website designed & will self-manage
with Contribute3. The trial version looks pretty intimidating
& would appreciate a "Don't Do" type of input. Only an
average level of user.

1st "don't": Don't panic. :)

Seriously, Contribute is extremely easy to use, once your connection is set
up. Just use it like a browser to go to the page you want to edit, click the
Edit button, make your changes, then click Publish. That's it!

As far as the connection is concerned, your website designer or host admin can
walk you through the connection settings (even if they don't use Contribute -
it's all standard stuff). You'll only have to do that once, Contribute
remembers all your connection settings.

Default Contribute3

I am new to Contribute 3. I want to use adsense on my website to produce some
income from the ads. They give you HTML code to copy and paste to the website,
but in useing contribute... I'm stumped on how to get it on my website. I have
tried using "styles" as the help menu directed, but I don't seem to be doing
something right... I'm raising my white flag on this one. Can anyone offer any
help/advice? Again, excuse my new-ness to the program.

I just saw your request and I am having the same problem I think. I have
contibute 4 and can't seem to find out how to copy and past the code so I can
add books and things to my site to sell. Have you got an answer yet? I have
copied the code and pasted it and then when I publish nothing happens. I am
also very new to this.

Hi,

Contribute 3 or 4 does not support copy and paste of HTML code snippet.
Currently the only way to do this is to edit the HTML file using a simple text
editor as Notepad and pasting the code.

Inserting of HTML Code snippet will be available in the next release of
Contribute.

Thanks,

Uh, I'm know I'm a newbie, but there has to be a way. I've been playing around
with it for a solid week now and I know there has to be! I keep refering to the
help menu and it has instructions on how to use HTML but I just don't
understand it :) Is there a program I can use to insert a text box that will
work with my HTML code? I'm not giving up yet! I don' t want to wait for the
new program... I'm still looking for an answer... (i'm kind of stubborn guys!)

Try to insert special characters. Click on special characters & paste the html
in the white box on the top left. I did this on my site at http://nysevda.com/
for the scrolling message near the top of the page.
