Controlling TIFF layers in indesign
Is it possible to import a layered TIFF into Indesign and then switch
the layers on and off?
I'm creating multiple versions of the same images and am trying to
avoid having complete image files for each version. Specifically,
they are images for postcards, so I need a border and bleed version
for two different sizes; four versions in total. I'd like to create a
single file that will be native to the larger size then create a white
..125" border layer for the large size. Next I wanted to create
another "border" that would leave the image area for the smaller card
visible and then another "border" to leave the image of the smaller
size visible minus a .125" border. Layers seem to make the most
sense, but if anyone else has any other ideas, I'm all ears.
I'm dealing with thousands of images, each with at least 4 versions
each, so the fewer files I can deal with, the better.
Thanks in advance.
