Convert 30+pg Powerpoint Presentation to Flash - Macromedia Flash Sitedesign

A customer just asked me about converting a powerpoint presentation to some web format where the "pages flip by themselves". Okay, they can't be saying what I think they're saying... I'm thinking HTML is the obvious/cheap way to go, but does anyone know of any Flash examples where this is working? The presentation has a large amount of text on half the pages, so it seems like Flash would be wasted.. But I can't even imagine what the right app/environment would be... Thanks, Barbara...

Depends on how good a job you want to do and how much time the requestor expects you to spend on it. If very little time, and you are on an Intranet of Windows users, just Save As a web page out of PowerPoint and tell them it took you about 5 minutes. If they seriously want slideshow and perhaps a more general audience, Save As a series of GIFs and use Javascript to flip the pages for an hour of your time spent. If they want highest quality, maximum audience and smallest file size, move it in to Flash with possibly a significant investment of time finding / getting a slideshow template working, redrawing crappy bitmap graphics, adding little animations to emphasize certain points, and so on. All of the above are valid solutions depending on your cirstances.
