Convert a table into CSV - FileMaker

Hi everybody ! I use Filemaker databases + Web companion + CDML tags to generate tables of results on my intranet. I would like to add a link called "Download Table in CSV format" to enable one user to convert the data under a format that can be opened with Excel. How can I do it ? Default Convert a table into CSV

Hi everybody !

I use Filemaker databases + Web companion + CDML tags to generate tables of

one user to convert the data under a format that can be opened with Excel.

Default Re: Convert a table into CSV

Create a cdml file:

[FMP-Header]
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Content-Type: application/unknown
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=download_name.csv
[/FMP-Header]"blah", "blah", "blah"
"computers", "databases", "filemaker"

The [FMP-Header] tag must be the first thing on the page, without any
space before them (not even blank spaces). You can replace everything
after the [/FMP-Header] tag with dynamic data.

Then, create a link to this file (lets say its named csv.cdml) on your
main page:
<a href="/FMPro?-db=file.fp5&-format=csv.cdml&-findall">Click here to
download csv</a>

To test this, just copy/paste the cdml file above into its own file,
place it in the FileMaker web directory, open a browser window, and
paste in the following URL:
http://127.0.0.1/FMPro?-db=any.fp5&-format=csv.cdml&-findall

This assumes you've enabled Web Companion on the local computer and
have a file named "any.fp5" open and set for sharing on web companion.
Since you pasted in static data ("blah", "blah", ...), that is what
you'll find in the CSV that the link above asks you to download.

Let me know if this works, and good luck!
