The version does not matter with PitStop Pro. Adobe needs to wake up and smell some coffee.

Well - it does ...

Pitstop 5 will not work under OSX ....
Pitstop 5 does not work under OS8 and below

To creat simple greyscale PDF files Pitstop is overkill. Use Quite Software's Quite a Box of Tricks instead. It has one-click conversion to grey.
