Never believe a sales person unless they show you.
I get rid of most anoying sales people by asking 'Show me'.

Anyway to your problem. This works on my system acrobat v6 osx/10.2.8 but should be worth a try.

In excel select the pages required, to select all select the first one then shift click the last one. Choose print and then select preview button. This starts up acrobat and creates a document for each page. Select create pdf from multiple files and select include all open pdf files. Click ok and a new document is created with all the pages. Save this new document where you want it,

    Cheers

Thanks for your help. It is not working this way. I think I saw your post from before and I tried it. Just now too. When I do print>preview, it opens apple's preview software and shows me every sheet as a .pdf all lined up on the screen. when I go to acrobat and select include all open .pdf files, it tells me I have not selected anything. If I select another file from the desktop with the box checked, it does not include the files that are open. What am
I doing wrong? is there a way to manually set up the print>preview to open the sheets in acrobat?

Is it possible he left out to switch to the Acrobat (AdobePDF 7) print Driver first before doing any of this.

Using your regular print Driver is under the control of the printer.

Just for Laughs try this do as he says up to the pont of printing then locate Output Options.

    then click on check box.

then click on buton and choose Postscript.

    Create Postscript fille.

    Then drop on Distiller.

See if it creates a PDF of entire "workBook"

They are talking about PDFMaker. It sometimes works but often doesn't because it gets easily corrupted.

Open acrobat and go to last menu then click on it and choose detect and repair.

then open Excel and a little box should show up in the menu with the Acrobat symbol.

when you get ready to print click this instead. If it works a progress bar will show 100% completion then dismiss itself and you'll see a PDF with name of the file.

If it doesn't work it will get to about &0% completion or maybe 90% and will Hang clicking on the acrobat symbol or distiller symbol in the dock will cause it to disappear.

Excel on windows has a nasty habit of creating multiple print jobs when the page setup for each different sheet is different.

So open a sheet go to file>pagesetup check the print quality setting. Set it to 300 dpi or so.
repeat for each sheet in the workbook.
then try to create the pdf with the aforemenioned settings again.

Can you find one of the files Preview has open?
You should be able to save it to a temporary location if you can't.
Select this and make the default application Preview.
Make sure preview is not running.
    Start up Acrobat.
    Then process as before.

As both Preview and Acrobat can handle .pdf files with both not running it chooses Preview but changing the default Application it should use Acrobat.
If either application is running, the os should use the running one.
Making sure Acrobat is running should be a safe guard against using 'Preview'

This used to be the rules with os/9 os/x combination but has probably changed as another user had the problem (as mentioned above).

Great stuff here. It can be a really frustrating process to try and convert massive excel spreadsheets into individual pdf files. One program that I have found that does this well at a competitive price can be found <a href=http://www.oneclickstatements.com/excel-to-pdf.html>here</a>.

Hey Morgan! I see you have a problem converting excel to pdf. I ran into that awhile ago, and I found a similar program to be quite useful, especially in business. At my work we use this program that quickly and painlessly converts my excel documents into pdf. It provides my business a simple way to make individualized statements for our business associates.
