Convert font to paths/curves
Hello
I've noticed some agencies, regarding logos, asking for fonts that are converted to paths/curves. Is this the same as 'create outlines' or is it a setting when saving as eps/ai?

Re: Convert font to paths/curves
Simon, they mean that you should "create outlines." Any digitally created and transported logo should "stand alone" with no links or fonts associated with the file. This protects the integrity of the design and ensures it won't change during the many uses to which it will be put.
In fact, it's not uncommon for logo artists to create outlines during the creation process in order to edit the character shapes, in essense spawning a 'custom" font.
