Depends.
If "backward compatibility" has been checked in PS7, for the most part,
yes.
However, there are some layer features in PS7 that can't be rendered in
previous versions, so those particular layers get either thrown out or
merged with other layers, not exactly sure depending on exact nature of
the layer.
