Convert RGB to CMYK
Is there an easy way to catch any RGB images that may slip in, and convert them to CMYK? I'm running Acrobat 6.0 Professional on a G5 with OS 10.39. Thanks

Re: Convert RGB to CMYK
Upgrade to Acrobat 7 Professional. You can use the Preflight feature to detect the RGB images.
If you're starting with a PostScript file which contains RGB, Distiller 7 can convert to CMYK. If you have a CMYK with RGB images, you can use the Convert Colors feature in Acrobat 7 Professional to convert to CMYK.

Re: Convert RGB to CMYK
Hi Della
In addtion I recommend using a 3rd party tool for correct color conversion. Acrobat's internal color conversion mechanism fails on gray-rgb elements. Meaning a gray stroke gets separated into CMYK and not K only. This feature only works for rgb-black.
A very handy tool is pdfColorConvert from callas (www.callassoftware.com). It will also detect RGB-Gray images and generate a real Gray image out of it.
