It wasn't me, I recieved that file as a pdf from a customer. It is usually pretty simple when the the 2 colors are just solids, when that happens I just use the selection tool to select all of a particular color, then I make that into a spot channel. On this occassion the 2 colors included halftones and screens. Eventually I got it done but there has to be an "easy" way.
