Default Converting DNS to AD Integrated - I'm a little confused...

Our network currently has two DNS boxes up (primary / secondary) and all
seems to be running smooth. I would now like to convert to an AD-Integrated
zone. On ServerA (Prim) I see the little check box to convert to AD, I
clicked that and asked it to replicated to all DNS servers in the domain.

So at this point I had one AD Integrated DNS server and my other server
still running as a secondard and of course no longer able to communicate
with the primary AD box.

My question is, how do I do a proper DNS AD conversion? Should I delete my
secondary completey and start with just the first server then re-add DNS on
the secondary?

I read
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;816101&Product=winsvr2003

but it doesn't mention how to deal with secondaries.

Thanks for any suggestions.

More detail needed. What versions of server are you
running. I hope your secondary isn't NT or you might
have made a boo-boo.

You can leave the secondary if you want - just set up zone transfers. If
you want to convert the secondary to AD integrated, it must be running on a
Win2k or Win 2003 domain controller. In that case I would delete the
secondary zone and create an AD integrated zone - the new zone will
automatically populate through the replication process.

My apologies, both servers are 2003 Standard, I'll scrap the secondary --
thank you.
