Re: Converting PDF to an editble Microsoft Word
How does tagging affect the Word file?
I just converted a half dozen PDFs to Word docs. Most converted without a hitch. The last one crashes Acrobat and produced a blank Word document. It crashes while checking the tags, whatever they are. The document looks the same as the others, except that it is twice as large--80 pages.
I'm using OS X 10.4, Acrobat 7.0.1 and the latest version of Word. I've used DiskWarrior and repaired permissions. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: Converting PDF to an editble Microsoft Word
Tagging is done to make the document accessible. So those who are sight impaired can use a screen reader to have a document read to them. I don't know if you can reduce the tags before converting, but you can certainly get to them and affect them. Go to view > Navigation Tabs > Tags. I have no idea what to tell you at this point. Maybe something in the Help file?
