converting to Illustrator from Auto Cad - TOO many points!!
When I open a document originally created in Auto Cad, the lines become lots and lots of little lines. And there is approximately a bijillion extra points. Using the Simplify command under Object > Path >Simplify shaves off a few hundred extra points, but not enough and does not solve my Little Line problem. Selecting the end points of these lines and Joining them would take more time than it is worth. Suggestions?

First of all, I think you should recount. Second, do you have AutoCad, or just the file? I'm just wondering if AutoCad has any kind of preserve curves feature.
