    Default Converting to PDF

    How do you install Acrobat distiller printer? It does not appear in my printers in XP. Can you give me the EASIEST steps to set up my computer to Convert Documents to >PDF from Acrobat 6.0 or Acrobat Distiller 4.0?

    First thign is that you should really be running Acrobat 6 and not Acrobat 4. I would lose version 4 and only keep version 6 - which is compatible with WinXP.

    The Acrobat Distiller printer has been renamed in Acrobat 6 to Adobe PDF printer. Do you have this printer present in your Printers & Faxes - if you do then use that.

    If you don't have this printer then there could be a problem as it shoud be automatically added during installation.

    thanks for the heads up! I'll removed 4.0..... I don't have the adobe pdf printer. Now what should I do?

    You could try using Detect & Repair under the help menu in Acrobat. If that does not add it then you may want to try this document
