Coolpad Traveler vs Podium
Hey gang,
I was planning on investing in a coolpad after I get my 12" Powerbook. I'm
debating between the traveler & podium. From the graphic it looks like the
podium can raise up higher. There's a $15 difference between them, I'm
wondering is the podium worth the extra 15 and would it really do much
additional cooling.
Any thoughts would be great. Hopefully I'll be buying my PB within the next
3 weeks!.
Cheers,
Rick

I bought the traveler because it fits in my laptop case better. The only
reason I can think of to get the podium is the greater angle for typing
purposes or propping the screen higher when attached to an external
keyyboard--that was not a factor for me, as I wanted it for better
cooling (it works, BTW). I don't know that any FURTHER tilt would make
the cooling better.
The Traveler also weighs 6 oz less.

I use the traveler on my 17" PB. One thing I've noticed is that the
pressure of my right hand on the corner of the PB warps the base.
Occasioanlly my CD locks and won't accept a CD. Rebooting creates a
loaud "clunk" and the cd drive works again.
