copy dependent files problem

when saveing my work on my local site i get a message asking me to copy
depenedent files
the files should already be saved as i have done this many times over but if i
chosse to let it save to the default folder my site/mm/stationary the images
then disapear if i choose to save to site/assets i repeatedly ask me if i want
to copy the same files avery time i try to save how do i recktify this

Do you have the automatic upload on save option enabled for your remote
site's definition?
