What are the options for copy protecting your app? I know of PACE, though their MACH O protection still isn't ready. Are there other options? TIA...

On Mac OS X you don't need to do anything to protect your customer's
fair use rights to make a backup copy of their purchase.

Well, maybe. Should eSellerate go bust, the ace up your sleeve is the
ability to release a new version of the software adapting to the new
situation. If nothing else you could just skip the activation check, so
as to keep users in business.

No, he simply would have said copy prevention if he meant that.

There is nothing funny or ironic about crapping on your paying customers
while pirates laugh at feeble protection efforts.

There isn't one. The question is why hardware would need a net
connection to operate. It's not like you can get a copy of hardware by
    drag and drop.

What about it? Like everything else, it depends on the customer's
expectation. My beef as a customer would have more to do with the
"silent" part. If you don't say what data is being passed around,
serious privacy concerns could be raised. I do have software that hits
the server (screen savers that update a silly global "save count"), but
the code itself is published and the software operates even if it can't
    connect to the server.
