copying images from illustrator to photoshop
When trying to copy an image from illustrator 10.0.3 to photoshop 7, photoshop freezes. When I move back to illustrator I get the following message "Acrobat PDF File format is having difficulties. The path does not exist". However, if I copy the illustrator image and close illustrator I am then able to paste the image into Photoshop.
Does anybody know what the problem might be?

Re: copying images from illustrator to photoshop
Maybe it just me...but I never copy and paste into Photoshop. I usually just open the ai file in Photoshop or export the ai file as a psd and then open it.

Re: copying images from illustrator to photoshop
As Celeste indicated, Copy/Paste is the "last" thing to resort to for going inter-program and especially inter-vector to raster on high end graphics. Far better to use a format that the other program will recognize and in the case of Illustrator to PhotoShop, it's either open .ai in PhotoShop or export .psd from Illustrator to open directly into PhotoShop.
