Copying parts of PDF docs and pasting into MS Word - resolution lost
I frequently refer to PDF documents from my OEM and need to copy parts (mostly graphics) into MS Word to create our customized documentation. The problem is that the resolution of the images, once they are pasted into MS Word, is terrible.
I'm using the graphics select tool in Adobe and then pasting into Word.
The graphics print fine from the PDF file, but once in Word, they are very rough.
How can I copy parts of a PDF file into Word without losing resolution?

Re: Copying parts of PDF docs and pasting into MS Word - resolution lost
For graphics, expand the screen before copying the graphic. You only get the graphic at the displayed screen resolution. If I was your OEM, it sounds like I might want to actually turn on security to prevent you from doing this. But that is there choice and I am a bit picky at times.

Re: Copying parts of PDF docs and pasting into MS Word - resolution lost
Thx for the reply. Very interesting. I'll maximize the screen size before copying. Actually, I recently discovered that you can save the file as .tif file. That makes it much easier to import into Word.
Don't worry about my OEMs. They know and acknowledge what we are doing. In fact, we frequently imporve upon their docs and then let them copy us back.
