If you leave a usable image anywhere on the Internet, somebody will use it.

Even with Digimarc, it's always a good idea to damage the image enough that anybody who wants to use it without your permission will have a lot of work to do. Reduce resolution, add visable logos, notices, watermarks or something. There have recently been some long discussions about the issues on this forum; use the search feature at the top of this page.

What is the best way to go about this?

Create a new layer, type in your text, Large bold text prefably. angle it so it slants across the whole iamge, enlarge the text if need be. Then set the transparancy for the text layer to how you like it. Flaten the iamge and export for web.

I have also wondered about this same concern. Does anyone have visual examples of either of these techniques (or any others for that matter)? Thanks for your posts.
