Corel Draw conversion

When I open Corel files in Freehand, only the graphics will show (no text).
Is this normal?

Also, in the drawings that we do, we need to dimension our
objects & draw them in an architectural scale (like in Autocad, wich Corel does).

Is there a plugin for Freehand that can do that?

Under View > Page Rulers > Edit, you can set up custom measurements for
scale drawings.

You can enter x and y dimensions of groups in the object inspector.

Sorry, I don't know about your text problem. What versions of FH and
CorelDraw are you using? What platform?
