Any thoughts anyone, about what pitfalls await for a client that is thinking of changing from CorelDraw over to Adobe Illustrator CS (or v10.0)? This client is working on a PC, loves CorelDraw, but feels that since CDR has been recently sold that they may lose support or experience problems with the new company that's bought it.

From some selected messages, it sounds like saving Illustrator CS back to v10.0 can be problematic--any other issues, specifically printing/imaging issues?

I work at this clients printer of choice (direct to plate, composite workflow) is there any feedback so far as outputting client files created in AI CS, and specifically PDF exported from AI CS? Should we advise him to upgrade to AI v10.0 and wait until the "bugs" get hammered out of AI CS?
