Corner edges with project firework's rectangle tool

I have this small logo and I want it to have round edges. So I used the project firework's rectangle tool tool selecting it. It puts a layer over it named 'PATH' how can I apply this shape to my logo?? I can't manage to combine the layers or is there another way to solve this?

Draw your rounded rectangle and get it to the size and shape you want. Place
your logo graphic over it, cut the graphic then select the rectangle and
choose Edit>Paste Inside. Once pasted you can drag the logo to the position
you desire.
