Default CORRUPTED US GOVERNMENT FORMS ON THE MAC

I down loaded Application for naturalization form (N-400) from the Dept of Homeland Security. There is corruption in the font spacing and the insertion of uppercase E with a caret character above in a number of places - example below. This does not happen in Acrobat 5 or in Preview on the Mac. However you can't fill in the forms and save and re-edit them in those applications. I am about to just use a pen to fill out the form unless someone has a better suggestion - (works on the PC has already been mentioned to me).

A form may be issued by the US Government, but this sole fact does not guarantee that it was properly made. In your particular case, I would suspect the fonts used in that form were not embedded properly.

Seen exactly the same thing on some UK official forms. Complained loudly and got the job of fixing them! Turned out the original had been created on Windoze and the user had no idea about embedding fonts!

Well, I would be very pleased if the US Government asigned me the job of fixing all their forms. From what I have read in these forums, I think I would have a full time job for at least several years :-).
