Default "couldn't find files" connecting to subversion repo viaWebDAV

Dear All,

I am attempting to use Contribute with a Subversion repository.
http://subversion.tigris.org/ is an open-source version control system that
speaks WebDAV. I'm using version 1.3.2.

I have a test repo set up on my local network, which I'm accessing via my
hosts file on http://www.example.com/. Auto-versioning is on per
http://svnbook.red-bean.com/nightly/en/svn.webdav.autoversioning.html, and I
have successfully connected to and created a new file in the repo using
Dreamweaver MX 2004. However, with Contribute, I get the following error after
entering my WebDAV details in the Connection Wizard and clicking "Next":

[Q]Contribute couldn't find your website files using the WebDAV URL you
entered. Please make sure that the port number and path for the WebDAV URL are
correct.[/Q]

I have set up
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19506, but afaict am
not getting any error message:

My next step is to http://ettercap.sourceforge.net/ and determine the
difference on the wire between Dreamweaver and Contribute. But before I do that
I thought I would post here. Any thoughts?
