coursebuilder
I first bought dreamweaver when you had to purchase coursebuilder
seperate. I created a bunch of quizzes that I am trying to look into
the structure of now. I have the MX version of dreamweaver now and for
some reason it won't let me look at the structure of previously created
coursebuilder interactions. Anyone know why?

Re: coursebuilder
Make sure you have allowed DW to add the scripts folder to your web, and
that the files you are adding CB interactions to are at the same root level
as the scripts.

Re: coursebuilder
Ok, I allowed it, and all the scripts are there. I also saved the file
in the folder the script folder is in, and I also saved it directly in
teh scripts folder itself....neither one worked...I still get some kind
of crazy error saying some kind of js exception. Throw in native
function....whatever that means. do i have to have some kind of java
machine on my computer...I have windows xp..when i first used
coursebuilder i had windows 98 and the sun java machine, everything
worked fine...now nothing works dealing with coursebuilder since i
changed over to windows xp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: coursebuilder
the actual message I get is
".../Coursebuilder/Scripts/pgElementsClass.js" useless expression. Any
ideas?

coursebuilder
I am trying to work the coursebuilder multipage quiz example as instructed by
the following Macromedia tutorial
http://www.macromedia.com/support/coursebuilder/scoring/multi_page_track/multi_p
age_track03.html
It dosnt seem to work however! Every time I run the quiz I get a JScript
runtime error which says Tracker is undefined.
Tracker is the document stored within the top frame where JScript is supposed
to track the quiz results!
This wouldnt appear to be a browser issue as I get the same result in Explorer
5.0 6.0 and Mozilla!!!
Does anyone know why this might be occuring or know of another forum where
these types of question are more common?
Thanks

How would i go about determining which answer the user selected on a multiple choice interaction? I need to give a different feedback based on the answer they select. Anyone?

Re: Coursebuilder
Have a look through the Action Manager .. it's in there. You can customize
feedback messages to say whatever you want .. you select the answer that is
correct and select "correct" from the dropdown so the pages know what to
make correct. Have a read through the documentation .. post back here if
you don't get it.

Re: Coursebuilder
I knew the message could be customized, what i was looking for was to give
different feedback for each incorrect answer they may select...if a, b and c
are incorrect, they would get different feedback based on if they chose a, b or
c. I did figure out how to do it...just was blinded by the global "if
incorrect" statement....

I have inherited a legacy project that I believe has some custom interactions
in it. The interactions can't be edited and there is a javascript block near
them with what appears to be custom code. I would dearly love to hear from a
coursebuilder guru about this. Indeed, I'd be willing to pay for assistance
over the phone. My email is patrick@v-page.com if you think you can help please
contact me.

Re: coursebuilder
Interactions created with Coursebuilder should be able to be edited with
Coursebuilder .. perhaps it's not the same version? Could you post the code
from one of the pages? I have done a site with Coursebuilder .. though I'm
not guru enough for you to pay me. :)
I'd be willing to try to help you tho.

Coursebuilder
I'd like to know how I can change the feedback in coursebuilder. I'm currently
developing some on-line materials for my students who fill in text in a text
entry. The normal feedback comes in the pop messages or in a score at the end
of the activity. I'm trying to get the feedback to be show in a layer on a
different part of the page which shows which questions they got right and which
ones they got wrong all at the same time unlike the pop-up messages. If anyone
can help me I and my students would be most grateful.

Re: Coursebuilder
If you don't get any other replies in these forums, you might try posting
another message in the Rapid Intake forums. They are now developing the
CourseBuilder extension. They also published a book on using CourseBuilder,
which you might find useful.
See http://www.rapidintake.com/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=11 for their forums.
Hope that helps. ...pt
