CourseBuilder extension and accessibility
I've been using the CourseBuilder extension to add feedback layers for multiple
choice questions and a message I saw on another forum seemed to indicate that
layers are not 'section 508 compliant' (the law mandating that U.S. funded
sites be accessible for users with disabilities.) According to the WAI
Accessibility checkpoint 6.3
(http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/#gl-new-technologies), it looks like we'll
need to provide a NOSCRIPT alternative.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
[The message from the other forum said:
"Using text boxes/layers (show/hide) for feedback is quite nifty, but not
508-compliant because the screen reader won't read the new layer."
