    Default CPAN needed on CD-ROM

It used to be that you could purchase CPAN on CD-ROM - I have an old one
put out by Walnut Creek (no longer in business). I know CPAN is a
moving target, but those of us with slow web connections, and those with
bosses that let us use Perl and CPAN at work, but hesitate to let us
download "shareware" (they can't seem to see the difference from Open
Source), would like to be able to purchase a "commercial" copy.

About a year ago, I was able to burn a set of CD-ROM's of the CPAN
library and have it scanned, etc., so I could bring it into the work
place, but that is a hastle. If the company could purchase it, they
seem to think that is safer.

    I posted a similar letter on comp.lang.perl.moderated.

I've got it here! The whole of CPAN on a disk. It's on my pile of
disks that has the internet on it. I asked my provider for it and
they made it for me. All of the internet on a pile of disks. Now I'm
not lonely any longer, I always have the internet to keep me company.
If you want, I can make a copy of CPAN for you. It's just one disk.
    Just one floppy. Youpeeeee....
