CRASH
I've had MX crash a lot more than other versions of FreeHand but I just kind of shook it off and restarted which has been working until today.
MX won't Startup at all. It gets to loading toolbars and "unexpectedly" quits, every time.
Running Mac OS 10.1.2.
Help!
The crashes before usually involed files with large placed images or when i had just hit print on a document and then tried to go back to the work area of the document as the file processed.
Now, no Startup at all, even if I'm not trying to open a particular file
Thanks
Kelly

Settings/Toolbars. If the file is corrupt it might be causing the crash.
You'll lose your custom toolbar settings.
Make a backup of the file when you have them restored to your liking.
I strongly recommend that you upgrade to OS 10.2.6. It's much more stable> Running Mac OS 10.1.2.
here.

Re: CRASH
Best thing to do is to drag your preferences to the trash and see if it will go then.

Re: CRASH
Hi,
Thanks for the help.
I don't know what possessed me to type 10.1.2, I am running 10.2.6.
I deleted both the toolbars file and the preferences file but no luck.
I'm going to clean out the fonts folder on my OS9 partition, which has fixed other problems in the past.
Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Re: CRASH
Kelly,
Looking at fonts would definitely be the think that I would look at. We have had numerous customers reporting that FreeHand would not launch and the cause has be a corrupt font.
I would not limit your test to just the OS 9 font folder, I would also look at the fonts in Mac OS X.

Re: CRASH
Thanks,
It seems to be a problem with fonts.
I cleaned out the OS9 fonts folder and MX opened.
I had only the system base fonts in my OSX fonts folder, so I'm only loading fonts as I need them to find the culprit.
Fonts seem to be a major problem for OSX, when I first loaded X the system wouldn't startup at all, just a "looping" blue screen, until I cleaned out my OS9 fonts folder.
