Crash during create PDF from web page
Each time I try using the create PDF from web page Acrobat crashes. There is no message, it just crashes the application. I've updated to version 7.0.8 with no change in the result. Other than reinstalling the entire application does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
Fix permissions? Try logging in as a different user (if this works, then
you most likely have a corrupt preference file).

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
Thanks, but no luck. It crashed after repairing permissions and trying on another user account.

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
If you are really crashing it would be worthwhile to check your disk directory
for corruption. My preferred utility is Disk Warrior, but if you don't have that
you can use the Disk Utility that comes with the OS.
If all is ok, then I'd recommend re-installing the program.

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
Tried re-installing the program and it still crashes. I thought that maybe since my internet connection was wireless (using AirPort with an AirPort Extreme) it could be having a problem with that. No luck. Hard wired to the Ethernet port it still crashes. I'm stumped.

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
It doesn't sound like you have checked your disk directory for damage.

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
You were right Mike. But, I just took your advice and ran Disk Warrior and I got the same crash. This is frustrating.

Can you open a html file (one on your hard drive) in Acrobat and have it not crash?

Did Disk Warrior have anything to fix?

Re: Crash during create PDF from web page
Mark - I tried opening a HTML file saved to my desktop from within Acrobat. It spun the beachball for a while and then crashed Acrobat.
Mike - DiskWarrior replaced the directory and it said it repaired the Available Disk Space of the Volume Information. Other than that it looks like only three repairs to Text Encoding were made. Two seem to be iPod PDF files in Japanese and the other was an HTML file (see below):
File: "[some japanese characters].html"
Repaired Text Encoding
Location: "Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional/Legal/"
