Crash on launch... bad prefs
Illustrator CS crashes every time I launch it. I delete the preferences, and it works fine. But the next time I launch Illustrator, it crashes again. Something is amiss.
This is quite a hassle, because I have to redo all my preferences, function key definitions, pallet locations, open pallets, etc, every time I open Illustrator.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Crash on launch... bad prefs
I would suspect a few things such Norton's anything, Spell catcher, corrupt Font bad time zone settings, take a look at the Please A Little Help thread, but I had this very problem I easily traced it to a bad monitor calibration profile you want to give this some serious thought as a possible cause.

Jez, I keep forgetting that one!
Thanx again Wade. And how do you go about fixing that?

Re: Crash on launch... bad prefs
Time Zone you change and then change it back or I think if you just change it is OK but you also have to trash the preferences the Monitor Profile you trash and redo and it is either located in Home/Library/Colorsyync or ~/Library/ColorSync.You then re-calibrate.
