Default Crazy Text when copy/paste from word

When I copy and paste text from word documents and paste dirrectly in to Freehand 10, then edit the text, the text will start to do crazy differant things. It will create huge space gaps and multi returns. I tryed coping and then pasting the text in to a notepad to try then saving the file as a basic txt. But when I reopen and copy and paste from that file I get the same problem...Also exporting the file to a PDF will give me an errior when openned. Is there a fix or a differant way around this that doesnt not require retyping everything...

Default Re: Crazy Text when copy/paste from word

When you copy from Word, you copy a bunch of Word coding that other Word
documents need, but FH doesn't understand.

Two suggestions, depending on your needs to retain formatting:
    1. Paste Special into FH as 'Unformatted Text'.
    2. Save the Word document in Rich Text Format and open that file in FH.
