Default Create a projector from with a projector file?

Does anyone know if you can create a projector file from within a projector
file? I want the user to be able to customize a movie, then run that movie
    as an executable.

It's very strange idea to create projector "dynamically". IMHO it's
    impossible
    without Director authoring environment.

Instead of this, if you want your user to be able to customize a movie,
use external casts. You can prepare a set of external casts with different
look (texts, bitmaps, fonts etc.) and working (scripts, behaviors).
Your user can select chosen cast and completely change the look of movie
and its method of working. It's sort of "skin" but more general.

can't create a projector at runtime

you can create a generic "stub" projector that runs external director
files, with embedded movie jumping to external one with simple 'go to
    movie' command.

There is a savemovie command available at runtime but I hav experienced
    some limitations.

Further to what JB said, check out score recording under the beginRecording command. You can recreate a movie's members by linking to new external content and recreate the score with score recording. Then you use "saveMovie" to save the entirely new file. You need a dummy movie file external to the projector in order to use "saveMovie". Then you'd just "go movie newmovie" to play the new movie from the existing projector. So you can do everything you want except make it a self-contained executable.
