a master page should not be linking to another web site but rather to
the results page which will return the detailed information for the record
    you specify the ID for.

I should add it may be the details page rather than the results page,
depending on what you specified as being the page to received the
info. So it could be results.cfm?categoryID=1 or details.cfm?ID=15

    Hi

Thanks for the reply. My problem is that I have a result page, and I need to
provide a link from the result page to a website. I created a query to show
    the web addresses using ?recordID.

I use hyperlink text in my access table, ths did not work.
I typed http://www.mywebaddress.com, this did not work
I typed #mywebaddress.com#, did not work either

My query worked from the ?recordID but it how to launch the web address that
is the problem, I showed this by using a detail page.

How can I solve this problem

I'm not an expert, but I do have an idea.

Can you display the resulting URL as dynamic text embedded within a URL where
the field you're displaying feeds both the text and the contents of the <a> tag?

    Just an idea.
