creating 2 objects that "snap to" each other when inclose proximity
Hey Guys:
I've been using Director to do presentations for a while now, but I'm not very
familiar with the 3d & Lingo aspects. I'm trying to create a scene where there
are two rectangular shapes, kinda like two planks of wood, that will snap to
each other when they get close enough. I learned java language at college a
few years back, but saying I'm a bit rusty is a huge understatement. I'm
hoping you guys can help get me started
Thanks,
Evan

Re: creating 2 objects that "snap to" each other when inclose proximity
may be you can describe more precisely what you have in mind.
you could create two #box models and modifie the modelresource with high,
width and legth to values that make your planks, and than move them around by
pressing keys.
if you do not rotate them it is very easy to make them snap together because
you just have to mesure the distance.
regards!
