Default Creating a Discussion Board with little or no knowledgeof Dreamweaver

I am an absolute beginner to this program and need to create a
discussion board. I've tried to upload "templates" but they are too confusing
for me to know how to piece together - most recent being CF. I have
read through the tutorial and am looking for a cut/paste until I have
working knowledge of this program.

There are a number of free discussion boards you just set some variables on and
they are ready to go, if you don't have the experience to build one yourself

To be honest, even with experience, why re-invent the wheel

For ASP based sites, I have used http://forum.snitz.com/ can be used with
Access or SQL server, nice customising via the browser, and you only have to
set up the Database connection via 2 lines in a file

There are PHP based forums as well, so you are not limited, Google search will
bring back some solutions.

Thanks, Carl -
The discussion board is not for an internet-based personal website, it's for
a business structured site that frowns upon outside advertising, etc. Any
suggestions?

Snitz does not carry advertising, nor do any other ones I have used/seen.

They simply carry a link back to the company site who developed it, nothing
new, and you will be hard pressed to find any software/application which does
not.

I use Snitz for professional business sites, and my own technology site
(www.technologyunited.co.uk), so you should not find problems using it.

If you would prefer PHP you can try http://www.vbulletin.com/order/ they have a
PHP forum, cost around ?80, but again you will have a "Powered by" link at the
base, so the same as the free Snitz forum.
