Default Creating a JAWS Compliant PDF

I've been asked if there is any way to make a JAWS compliant PDF. [JAWS for Windows v6.2 works with your PC to provide access to today’s software applications and the Internet. With its internal software speech synthesizer and the computer’s sound card, information from the screen is read aloud, providing technology to access a wide variety of information, education and job related applications. JAWS also outputs to refreshable Braille displays, providing unmatched Braille support of any screen reader on the market.] Let me know,

    Thanks

I believe that QuarkXPress 6.0 and 6.5 use JAWS RIP technology for creating PDF files. Therefore, one might assume that you might use XPress.

I don't think there is any compliancy check, so I'm not sure what you would check against. As long as the PDF is tagged for accessibility. JAWS should be able to read the PDF.

JAWS is a screen reading technology, developed for folks with accessibility issues. I know that Adobe has put a lot of effort into the Windows side of this technology, but it is outside my area of expertise. However, I know someone who does know about this and I'll see if I can get him to respond.
