Default Creating data query from mySQL stored query!?

Hey there, this is probably something extremely easy and stupid, or probably
been answered before, but I cant find it, so PLEASE dont hate me....

I am new to mySQL, and I just converted a Microsoft Access database to mySQL.
The application I built runs off of Microsoft Access but I need a more stable
solution for large amounts of users.

    - I have a number of stored queries inside Access that are innerjoin queries,
I can then query those MSAcess queries from Coldfusion to get my desired
results. You can do this (as you probably know) just by using the query name
inside ms access just like it was a table name.

    - PROBLEM: It doesn't function like this in mySQL. I created the queries
inside mySQL, but it gives me a "cannot find (stored query name) table" errors.

SO HERES MY QUESTION: HOW do I query stored queries inside mySQL? Is it
possible? If not, how do you suggest doing something along these lines?

Thanks a ton for the help in advance! You guys are always great!

In MySQL (and almost every other database) the equivalent of a stored
query is called a view. See chapter 19 of the MySQL manual.

I am just going to write the queries in the actual application, but i would
still like to know if there is an answer to this? I was looking around, stored
procedures aren't available in the version of mysql i am using anyway, so that
is part of my problem, but can you create queries under usual cirstances and
use them as stored procedures in mysql?
