Creating Drop Shadows Using Spot Colours
I'm trying to recreate the logo of a company I am designing for. They do not have it in a vector form but know that it uses pantones 285 and 444.
I have created the basic lines of it with no problems but I can't work out how to put the shadow in so the repro house can separate it into the two colours.
Anyone know how to create this shadow using only Pantone 444?
A copy of the logo is posted here...

Cheers.

Re: Creating Drop Shadows Using Spot Colours
Make the shadow consist of the black swatch and separate the dropshadow from the element.
Create a rectangular fill the same size as the shadow, filled with desired spot color, placed directly in back of the shadow.
Select both and apply inverted, clipped, opacity mask.
The shadow will not preview and separate correctly to the spot color.

Thanks a lot John, that worked like a charm, can't believe it was that simple!
Thanks again.
