Default Creating Forms in Acrobat Pro

I have created a form in Acrobat Pro. I want to be able to email it out to my clients, have them fill it out, save it and email it back to me.

I've got the form created. I looks great and works well if you've got ACrobat Pro. But all my clients just have reader.

They can't fill out the form and email it back. I get a lot of errors saying that their version of Acrobat can only save a blank copy.

What can I do to fix this? I really need them to be able to fill out this form and email it back to me.

    Thanks.

Advanced>Enable usage rights for Reader users.

If you are using this feature for a business, I'd suggest thoroughly reading the EULA for Acrobat. There are usage limits.

    Thanks.

    The EULA.

What kind of usage limits? Is there something specific you are talking about? All my clients have Reader and can read PDF's just fine.

Yes. There is a 500 use per form limit. The form won't stop working after 500 uses or anything like that but you would be in violation of the EULA.

Really. Have to say that's kind of irritating.

Not really sure what Adobe is trying to accomplish with that. I have Acrobat Pro, all my clients have Reader... what's the big deal? Why 500? why not 600 or 510?

There are too many rules to keep up with... I'm moving to Canada. They are less strict up there... lol.

Thanks for the heads up. It'll be years before I reach the 500 uses. Maybe by then Adobe won't care.

Easy. They want to sell you a much more expensive product aimed at corporate use for that (the same one the IRS uses to enable their forms). In fact, they only recently began to allow Acrobat users to enable these files at all.

    I'm moving to Canada.

They'll find you. They have offices there too. ;)

Don't rile Adobe too much. Us little folk small business, Non=profits and such have been begging for years and they thowed us a bone. If you get it closed. we would have to go back to the service that cost the price of a new Chevy Impala per year.
