creating full width backgrounds
When designing a background that you want to fill the whole page, how do you set it up in Fireworks or photoshop? How do you save it to export into dreamweaver? Each time we have done this, we get multiples on the page.

2003 Backgrounds
I noticed MS fixed the gradient backgrounds in 2003. Does anyone know if they are planning to fix the same backgrounds in 2002? Thanks for any input. -

Well, first you have to know how big the 'whole page' is.
Which, of course, you really can't.
So, you either need to make a background that is REALLY big so that it
bleeds of the edge of most browser windows (which means HUGE file size) or,
via CSS, you can have the background appear just once (not tiled):
body
{
background-image: url(stars.gif);
background-repeat: no-repeat
}
