Not sure what you mean here.... if you mean like this -
[url]http://www.richiebee.ca/public/fog1.jpg[/url] then copy your photo, apply a
gaussian blur (standard 4.1 should do it) to the top one and reduce opacity
to about 65%... until you get the result you're looking for.
If you were thinking more along the lines of this -
[url]http://www.richiebee.ca/public/fog2.jpg[/url] then you can achieve it using a mask
with a gradient fill (this page might help if you're stuck here -

by using the marquee tool with a high feathered setting to copy, then paste,
then delete the original. Masking is the least destructive... marquee is
(IMO) the easiest.

need help on jpeg edges
OK I imported an image on another image, and I want the imported image to blend in with the background. Like, I dont want the square image, I want the edges to blend in, so It doesent look like a small image, and it just looks faded into the background. I hope you know what im trying to say. Please help. thanks
