Creating outlines....
I have just switched from using Illustrator to Freehand and have a real basic
question for you.
'How do you create a pathed outline?'
I draw a line, set the stroke value to say 8pt, and I then want to use the
outer edges of this shape as paths (In Illustartor you just convert to outline
path) . I have played with the 'expand stroke' tool from the extras menu, but
wondered if there was an another way to do this ...
Thankyou in advance

Re: Creating outlines....
Hi!
Not sure want you want to do here. Expand stroke creates paths of the outer
edges of your stroke.
If it is a closed shape (see check box in object inspector), you can
modify>split and select the path you want, or subselect>duplicate.
Subselect>duplicate>inset path can also be usefull.
Can you specify a little bit more what you want to draw?

Yeah - had a little play - 'Inset path' seems to do the trick, and the 'split'
modify also... thanks mate... It was a circular shape that I had altered and
want to add points to the outer edge and pull them around ... I've done it now
.... Nice1
