Default Creating PDF with Form Feilds - Upgrade?

I am using Acrobat 7 Pro.

    Need to do:
I need to create PDFs that my client can open then be able to type in bits of information and print the PDF to look like a finished form.

Example: Say I create a contract and send it to my client. They need to be able to open the contract PDF and in the middle of sentences enter information (like a name) and then print it out. The Contract needs to look like the "name" was always there and not like an enter form area form the rest of the sentence.

Do I need to update my Acrobat? I have had no luck creating them in version 7. Does Acrobat 9 create such forms?

If I understand what you're saying then no, it can't be done with any version. You can certainly leave a blank space then add a form field using the same font where they can type in a name but depending on the length of the name, there will be obvious spacing between it and the following word in the sentence.

You'd need to use something like MS Word or another word processor to accomplish what you want.

    Thanks for the reply.

I figured there must not be a way. Would be a nice feature.

Problem with editing them in Word is I can not seem to get my vectored layouts to open correctly in Word.

    Thanks

I use Corel Draw x3 for my design work. Then I use the Corel create a PDF setting.
Afterward I open the PDF in Acrobat and make sure it looks ok.
Usually save it again with acrobat.

If I open Word and try to import the PDF it always seems to not recreate the graphics correctly. And I have to make my vectors into bit maps to get them to display even close.

My Version of word is old too. Word 2002 uses scansoft PDF converter 3

Trying to get Corel to save as Word doc does not work correctly either.

    Uh Ray?

You happen to be in Acrobat for Macintosh Group.

Corel Draw does not even exist on Mac Platform.

In fact the last product they supported for Mac Platform was years ago and only for about a month after swearing to everyone they would continue support was WordPert 3.5.e for Mac. They did have a few program for Mac during OS 9 and lower Days. but not OSX

Yes. Corel uses it's own PDF engine. Not Acrobat. You may try and find a user group for your version of Corel.

    Good luck.
