Creating text as a path/mask??

    Default Creating text as a path/mask??

    Does anybody know how i can create text as a Path or Mask, for use in AE as a mask (I need trapcode stroke to recognize the text as a mask)???? Thank you very much for any help.

    I would think creating an outline of the text?

    Or perhaps give the live text a fill of none and a very thin stroke of black. And you can expand that as well to create outline text.

    I'm not sure if this is what you want, but making a mask out of text is easy.

    Place or draw the object you want to mask.
    Type your text as the next object above it.
    Select the text and the object(s) you want to mask.
    Create mask with command-7 (or Object/Clipping Mask/Make).

    Is this what you want? (I'm not familiar with "AE" or "trapcode stroke" so maybe this has nothing to do with your actual problem)
