Creating wireframes images?

    Default Creating wireframes images?

Does anyone know how I would go about creating a wireframe
image for use in a image? I am creating a image in FW-MX and
would like to have a wireframe image of a doughnut shape
object in the background. It doesn't have to be detailed as
it is only going to be used to give a sort of futuristic
    style look.

Is there anyway to create this effect in FW or Photoshop,
i'd rather not have to use some sort of 3D package.

    Thanks.

Frankly, the only way to give it a good appearance would be using some 3D
package. Or manually drawing all the nodes with vector tools of FW.

Is there a standard format for a wireframe model? Does FW
accept all the popular formats? Also would I be able to
resize and color any model that I use?

Frankly, there are no standard formats for 3D. For wireframe, some
AutoCAD-related ones, like DXF, plus probably VRML and 3DO, are most easy to
    parse.

And no, FW does not accept ANY 3D format. FW is 2D editor. For FW to
"accept" 3D files and render something out of them, 3D rederer should be
added to FW. This is not the case. You should use separate 3D rendering
software. I remember myself being able to convert DXF models using
CrossRoads, then rendering them inti wireframe using POV-Ray, but it
required cobfiguring the latter in a very unusual way... I recommend you
trying to ask the question in rendering-related newsgroups. Maybe they will
suggest you something more user-friendy for that... All in all, the FW is
not the tool for that. You should use something more 3D-specific.
