"Creating your working environment" in DevelopingCommunication Applications
I'm fairly new to Flash and very new to Flash Media Server so maybe I'm missing
something? I'm reading through the recommended beginner tutorials and for each
one this is the advice:
"Before you start to re-create the application, see 'Creating your working
environment' in Developing Communication Applications."
Where do I find 'Developing Communication Applications' ? it's not hyperlinked
and I can't find it in the current documentation. Thanks to Google I've found
a help file with that title for Flash Communication Server from 2004 ? could
this be what I'm supposed to find?
Also in the tutorial that I'm currently attempting I read this:
"To add the button for connecting to the server, open the Components panel
(Window > Components) and drag a push button onto the Stage. In the Property
inspector, give it the instance name Connect_btn, the label Connect, and the
click handler doConnect."
In Flash CS3, Window > Components is still correct and the Property inspector
lets me assign a name. I see that the label is entered in the Parameters panel
but where do I go in the current version to assign the click handler?
If anyone could clarify that would be great. In the meantime I'll take a
break?
