Critical Errors in System Log
Hello,
does anyone know what this is or means?
Critical Errors in System Log
TermServDevices
Driver XXXXXXX Desktop Driver required for printer XXXXXXX Desktop Driver is
unknown. Contact the administrator to install the driver before you log in
again.
We've recently installed a new printing device on a network that can also
send faxes. we've installed the fax software on the client pcs. when the
client pc sends a fax the client pc communicates with the fax and out it
goes. why would the server want the drivers for it?

to map printers that you have on your client machines to the RD session
that you make to the server. You can disable this by both group policy
and in your remote desktop settings while connecting, untger the "Local
Resources" tab.
You can also safely ignore these error in the event log. If you are not
trying to print to the new server from the RD session, errors in the log
are the only damage that this mapping is doing.
Best regards,
