    Default Cropped PDF in InDesign

I use Acrobat 6 to crop a PDF. I save the PDF. When I place the PDF on an InDesign 2 document, the original PDF appears. What was cropped out appears. How do I crop a document in Acrobat 6 and have the changes reflect when bringing them on to a page in InDesign.

The crop tool does not delete information, it only defines a crop box. You aren't actually making any changes to the content of the PDF.

What you can do is place your PDF into InDesign, and then use the white selection tool to resize the box so that only the desired part of the PDF is showing. If you need help with this, pay a visit to the InDesign forums.

Your other option would be to open the PDF in Illustrator, draw a rectangle with no fill around where you want it cropped, then (with the rectangle still selected) click Object > Crop Marks > Define (I think... going from memory here). Then place your PDF into InDesign.
