Cropping a PDF file in Acrobat 6.0
When I use the crop tool to re-size the original file, the new (re-sized) PDF is displayed in Acrobat, but is described as an "unrecognized format" when attempts are made to place it in other applications, such as Quark.

Re: Cropping a PDF file in Acrobat 6.0
What version of PDF does your Quark PDF import filter recognise - PDF
1.4 (Acrobat 5), PDF 1.3 (Acrobat 4), something else? Whichever it
is, use Advanced > PDF Optimizer in Acrobat 6 Pro to save as that
version.
The issue is not specifically cropping, but any editing.
